MS Azura is a Grand-class cruise ship operated by P&O Cruises and owned by Carnival plc.. The ship was built by Fincantieri Monfalcone at their shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.. She officially entered service with the company in April 2010 and was named by Darcey Bussell.
RMS Queen Mary 2 is a British transatlantic ocean liner. She has served as the flagship of Cunard Line since succeeding Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2004. As of 2017, Queen Mary 2 is the only purpose- built passenger ship designed as an ocean liner, as opposed to a cruise ship.
MS Queen Elizabeth is a cruise ship of the Vista class operated by the Cunard Line. The design is modified from that of previous ships of that class, and slightly larger than Queen Victoria, at 92,000 GT, largely due to a more vertical stern. The ship is able to carry up to 2092 passengers.
These cruise ships in Lyme Bay have been with us during the pandemic in 2020 and are still with us as the pandemic continues into 2021. These outstanding photographs taken by David Caunter conjure up many emotions, the ships look majestic and are wonderful to look at; however, there is a sadness that they cannot cruise around the world at this time.
