Voyage Fair Trade

Voyage Fair Trade sells unique and high-quality fairtrade and ethical items on our online gift shop. Established in 2013, we opened our first independent fair trade shop in 2014, selling Christmas gift ideas in the sunny seaside town of Teignmouth. Based in the centre of the famous Arts Quarter, we sell ornaments, gifts, homewares, fashion accessories and jewellery.

Our central aim is to improve the livelihoods of disadvantaged artisans in developing countries We strive to achieve this aim by importing and selling ethical products and allowing sellers to keep their traditional skills and cultures alive. Click here to read more About Us

What is fair trade?

When they think of fair trade, many people imagine consumable items like bananas and coffee. It’s true, fair trade organisations support many farmers and food producers. However, they also support skilled artisans, be it wood carvers, bag makers or the creators of dream-catchers.

From metal ‘magic’ bowls which change shape to stylish contemporary lamps, we are always trying to find new, unique products and designs. Make sure you keep up to date with our latest products.

The fair trade artisans and organisations that Voyage Fair Trade work with

We buy most of our products from suppliers, artisans and cooperatives who are either members of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers) or members of the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation).

Many of these suppliers have been set up as fair trade groups, cooperatives or organisations to help small-scale producers and sole-traders export effectively. As a result, this helps these workers to develop their products and sell in larger markets like the UK.
