    Made in Bangladesh by artisans employed by the Fair Trade organisation The Jute Works (see below).  Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world and is threatened by rising sea levels due to climate change, 

    The Jute Works

    The Jute Works was founded in 1973 and is one of the oldest Fair Trade organisations in the world. Most of the employees are women from slum and poor areas who use natural local raw materials to weave lovely colourful items.
