Owl fact:

Owls are fascinating creatures with many unique characteristics! One particularly interesting fact is their exceptional neck flexibility. Owls can rotate their heads up to 270 degrees in either direction! This incredible range of motion is possible because they have 14 vertebrae in their necks, double the number humans have!

This flexibility helps compensate for their fixed eye sockets, meaning they can't move their eyes but can move their heads to get a wide field of vision.
