    This has been made in Bangladesh. Sadly the country is one of the poorest countries in the world and is badly threatened by global warming as the seas rise.

    The Jute Works was founded in 1973 and is one of the oldest Fair Trade organisations in the world. Natural, local raw materials are used throughout. Most of the artisans are women in rural or slum areas giving them a chance for a proper income to help them out of poverty.
