Here at Voyage we are getting ready to celebrate: the cards have been sent; the presents have been bought (nearly); the decorations are up; the turkey has been ordered… oops..actually no, it hasn’t….; the Bristol Cream has been bought…um, actually no… Well, maybe not as ready as we thought.
Anyway, we and all our artisans and artists are ready to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!
Looking back we have had a good and eventful year. We have visited many Fair Trade artisans and organisations in India and Indonesia. Seeing the artisans at work and verifying the Fair Trade conditions in which they work has been really inspiring.
In addition to India and Bali, we are continuing to sell Fair Trade products from South Africa, Kenya, Madagascar, Tibet, Ecuador and Peru. Recently we have been in contact with the Indochina Starfish Foundation in Cambodia. They are a charity who work with poor, disadvantaged children. We are planning to help support this work by selling some of the beautiful colourful necklaces they make. Watch this space!
In addition to a new improved website, we have also opened a shop in Teignmouth in the arty back beach area – do come and visit us, if you haven’t already.
